03 · Starship

Starship: 124 metres, 39 engines, both stages reusable

Starship has 2 stages. At the bottom sits the Super Heavy booster: 72 metres tall, 33 Raptor engines. On top sits the Starship spacecraft: 52 metres, 6 engines82.

Both stages are meant to return and fly again quickly. The booster is caught by 2 arms on the launch tower. Starship carries more than 100 tonnes to orbit82.

The software angle

An entry-level role in the Starship team asks for autonomous software, simulations for testing and languages such as C++ or Rust50.
